This  backing plate with Velcro pad is ideal for polishing. The backing plate is made from premium grade rubber. The strong hook and loop works with Velcro and generic pads. Ideal for steady and smooth polishing. Hook and loop attachment system make disc change easy and fast. Great for general-purpose sanding and polishing; suitable for dual action air random orbit sander/polisher. High Quality, durable, lightweight, flexible, heat-resistant and well-balanced. Backing plate is designed with M14 nut threads to fit most standard air random orbital sanders/polishers in woodworking, garages, or industrial settings. It is versatile enough to work on most all pad materials with hook-and-loop backing system: foam, wool, paper, microfiber and more.

Function:

Backing Pads are use with Fibre Discs, PSA Discs and Discs, stone polishing pad, wool pad, etc. Backing pads are Widely used in grinding and polishing artificial stone, furniture and wood products, metals, cars and other items.

Sanding disc backing pads are used beneath sanding discs to provide cushioning for contoured work and to provide the attachment surface for hook and loop or quick change discs. Pads may be solid or contain hole patterns to match sanding disc vacuum holes. Choose from soft to firm density depending on the degree of flexibility desired.
